Sumit has been helping individuals, families and small- to mid-size business owners meet their financial goals for more than 15 years. His mission is to provide a holistic approach to financial planning and deliver personalized service to every client with integrity and professionalism. Sumit has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PROFESSIONALTM designation, a standard of excellence in the financial planning industry, in order to stay current on strategies that may benefit his clients. In addition, he brings a background in accounting to his role, which allows him to evaluate these strategies from a tax-aware perspective.
What Makes Me Knowledgeable
Prior to joining Pence Financial Group in 2024, Sumit worked as a wealth advisor for Citibank and Equitable. He has also served as a financial planning director for Morgan Stanley, and he gained valuable insight into the field of audit and taxation while working at Deloitte. Sumit holds a master’s degree in professional accountancy with an emphasis in data analytics from the University of California, Irvine and a bachelor’s degree in finance from California State University, Northridge. He also holds the Series 7, 63, 65 and insurance licenses, and he is a member of the Beta Alpha Psi Executive Graduate Honor Society.
Getting to Know Me
Sumit lives in Laguna Hills, California, with his wife, Michelle. Outside of work, he enjoys playing basketball, tennis and cricket, as well as going on long hikes. He is a member of the Orange County tennis league and plays competitive basketball once a week.
